Apna Sapna Money Money is a Bollywood movie that talks about the importance of education and financial literacy. The film follows the story of Shantanu, who is a struggling student and Meena, who is passionate about her studies and pursues them with undying enthusiasm. Eventually, tragedy befalls both of them forcing Shantanu to get involved in Meena’s father’s business- which he puts his heart and soul into. However, this turns out to be more than what Shantanu can handle as he struggles with success. On their way to college, Shantanu and his friends hatch a plot to rob a safe kept in the principal’s room. Though their first attempt is foiled, they make an attempt at the second time only to be caught red-handed by the police. The cops take them into custody and interrogate them. Believing that this could be a good opportunity for him to retrieve the money he stole from his father, Shantanu decides to tell them about it because if he doesn’t, his friends would surely turn him in as they aren’t very fond of him. He then tries to retrieve it from under a tall pile of garbage as garbage men throw heaps of trash on top of it every day. He retrieves the money but gets caught. On their way to jail, they are attacked by an angry mob and barely manage to escape. The money is eventually handed over to the police. Perplexed by this turn of events, Shantanu tries to find out what happened but is unsuccessful in doing so. Afraid that he too will be blamed for the entire incident, he decides to travel with his friends to Australia and experience life there before returning home. While on their way there, one of his friends dies in an accident and the remaining two decide not to take it lying down as they want justice for their friend. They plan a bank robbery but are unable to pull it off as they cannot escape from the police afterwards. In a bid to get the money back, Shantanu decides to search for it. In his quest, he finds out about Meena, who is now a teacher in Australia and has been teaching at the same school for the past ten years. He also finds out that her father was once a rich businessman but lost his wealth due to a mistake during business dealings with other businessmen. The film ends on a positive note as Shantanu manages to win Meena’s heart and returns back home after successfully getting them married. Rahul Garg is credited in this film for his role as Mr Dhanvi, the boss of Pavan (Rajesh Kumar). Udhayanidhi Stalin is also in this film for his comedy role as pushy Vijayakumar.
